Details
On the roads or paths, Specialized's Ariel is built for fun. It pedals great on pavement and dirt thanks to its sweet-handling Specialized A1 SL Premium aluminum frame, bump-bustin' suspension fork, and easy-rolling 700c wheels. You'll also love the hill-flattening Shimano 24-speed drivetrain and the powerful linear-pull brakes. And for even more comfort, there's a plush women's seat.
To optimize the fit, pedaling efficiency, comfort and control, Specialized tailors the geometry and components on their women’s bicycles just for you. The frames are engineered with smaller-diameter tubes to decrease weight and increase compliance. They have shorter top tubes for a perfect fit and greater stand-over height on smaller sizes for easy on/off. Plus, for a truly custom feel, Specialized includes small-diameter grips, narrow handlebars and women's seats that make every ride totally fun and comfortable.

I love this bike! I had tried the Trek and Giant models in a similar price range and this was the most comfortable and easiest for me. I love the ease of the shifting and it's just a pretty bike too!

Comments:
I use it for fitness, riding 20-50 miles. The saddle is about as comfortable as they come and it is a nice smooth riding bike that handles climbs well. Sometimes when shifting gears, it catches and locks up the pedals for a moment or seems to sort of jump. But, for the price you can't beat this bike. Glad I bought it.

Comments:
I just bought this bike after trying a womens Terry bike last year that I just couldn't get comfortable with. This bike is fantastic for me. I feel extremely comfortable on it, the gears are so simple to use. I haven't ridden in years so I needed simple. The front shocks are awesome. I can't wait to take it for a ride next week through a large park near my home. I will equip it with a basket for shopping trips.

I was using an old bike for 2 seasons after starting to ride bikes again. I received this bike as a gift and absolutely love it. I've taken it on paved bike paths, dirt roads and rustic mountain bike trails. No problems mechanically. The handle bar grips are not the most comfortable I have experienced, but can be changed out.

I was looking for a bike to use on the road and dirt paths. I used to have a Gary Fisher mountain bike but now needed something lighter and more "road friendly." At the same time I wanted something "sportier" and more fun than a comfort bike. I'm so happy with my purchase. This bike fits all the requirements! Awesome!

I didn't know what kind of riding I wanted to do, I just wanted a bike that would take me wherever I wanted to roll! Over the years, I never ventured far on my store-bought bikes because they were so hard to pedal. I bought my Ariel last year and have ridden many carefree miles on the road, local greenway, and multi-terrain bicycle paths, and it still rolls like a dream. It is unquestionably my favorite bike!
