ARC TRAINERS
Cybex's line of cross trainers, The Arc Trainer, is scientifically tested to be gentler on your joints, burn 16% more calories than an elliptical, and is stronger and more durable than the leading ellipticals. On the Arc Trainer, the legs travel in a biomechanically correct path of motion. There’s less stress on the knees and more activation of the glutes and hamstrings.

MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE

Modern Factory

MODERN FACTORY

Cybex strength equipment is built in a brand new 340,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Owatonna, Minnesota that came on line in 2007. This is a world class operation without rival among commercial fitness manufacturers.

Experienced Work Force

EXPERIENCED WORK FORCE

Cybex has been producing commercial strength products in middle America with our seasoned and dedicated work force for over 25 years. Our employees' workmanship and pride shows in every piece of exercise equipment that leaves our facility.

The Latest in Automation

THE LATEST IN AUTOMATION

We use the latest in lasers and robotics to produce superior weld quality, an automobile-like finish, and "furniture grade" upholstery. The consistency of product performance Cybex is known for is the result of our substantial and ongoing investment in manufacturing automation.

Environmentally Responsible

ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE

Cybex is a serious manufacturer. We don't just assemble – we bend steel. In doing our job, we recognize the importance of environmental values. Like our customers, Cybex is committed to protecting our environment and keeping "Mother Nature" fit.

RESEARCH

The Cybex Research Institute is the research arm of Cybex International. Its primary responsibility is to investigate both future concepts and existing products to ensure designs are optimized to produce the desired results. Working relationships with exercise research oriented universities around the country expand our research capability and, as a manufacturer, we have the unique ability to immediately put that knowledge to work.

THE REDUCTION OF METABOLIC COST WHILE USING HANDRAIL SUPPORT DURING INCLINED TREADMILL WALKING IS DEPENDENT ON THE HANDRAIL USE INSTRUCTION

Research conducted by the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and the Cybex Research Institute demonstrates that calorie burn appears to vary depending on how handrails are used on a treadmill.

ARM USE AND POSTURE ALTER METABOLIC COST DURING NON-IMPACT CARDIOVASCULAR CROSS TRAINING AT A CONSTANT MACHINE WORKLOAD

Many popular exercise devices display a 'calorie burned' number to inform users about the intensity of a workout. This number is an estimate based on the machine’s settings (resistance, incline, speed), and does not take into account how the user is interacting with the device.
